It's that time of year again to begin thinking about fall/holiday crafting, and I am so excited to share with you what I've been working on! The new Stampin' Up Idea Book/Catalog and the Holiday Mini have both inspired many new projects and cards. I hope that you will join me in a few classes to learn fun, new techniques and create adorable projects. The first class will be the Holiday Treat boxes, which will feature four boxes that are perfect for giving a sweet treat to someone special for Halloween/Fall, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Sneak Peak #3

Stamping Frenzy!

Whew! I have been stamping so furiously that I can smell the rubber stamps burning!

With many classes on the schedule, preparing for an open house (November 15...mark your calendars!), and planning for my own Christmas crafting, I have been a busy girl!

This is a card that I made using the current in colors and one of my favorite stamp sets, Upsy Daisy. I colored the stamp with the markers so that the flowers could be different colors...I love that technique! And, the Big Shot (Top Note Die) made this card super easy and quick! Leave me a comment to let me know what you think! :)

Sneak Peek (Party Favors Class)

As promised, here is the sneak peek for next Thursday's Party Favor's class (October 29th). Isn't it cute? It is a super easy, quick gable box that has quite a bit of room inside for just about anything you could think to put in there...candy, tea bags, even a votive candle. Wouldn't this be perfect for coworkers, your child's teachers, birthday party guests, or a small, "just because I'm thinking of you" gift? In class, we will also be making a hanging treat holder, and a chocolate square/tea bag holder. Please note, RSVP is needed.

Easel Card

Okay, as heart wrenching as it is for those of us that find great joy in creating darling cards to think about, we know that the ultimate destination for our cards is a dark, sad place called a trash can. Though we try to stay blissfully unaware of that fate, we know that really, how many cards can you save? To be sure that your hand crafted sentiment is appriciated longer than most, why not make an easel card? This card has a built in stand (easel) for immediate display. How much easier does it get to show off a lovely card you've received? I stumbled across this technique this morning and had to try it right way. It was super easy to make, and, I must admit...it's really cute! What do you think?

Another Punch Card

For those of you that haven't seen my latest creations, I've gone a bit punch crazy! Once you start trying to figure out unconventional uses for your punches, it almost becomes an obsession! :) lol! Seriously, I had to start sketching cards because quite a few ideas were coming to mind. So, I will be posting some of the punch cards I've made, and I'll try to move on to some other technique...well, maybe after one more punch...just one more! :)

For this card I used various circle punches, two oval punches, a heart punch and a flower punch (for the feet). I did cheat a bit by cutting the large, white circle with my Big Shot. Click on the image to see the detailing. What do you think?

A Long Hiatus...

Hello again! After taking the summer off from blogging, I am excited to be back! I have so many great cards to show you from my summer creations, and I will be posting many cards and projects during the upcoming holiday season, so check back often!

This card was a very simple concept. By using the Big Shot Scallop Circle die and the flower punch, this card was quick and easy! The colors used were Soft Suede, Dusty Durango and Crushed Curry, all of which are the current In Colors. Both the "thanks" and the leaves were stamped in Soft Suede.

Long Awaited Butterfly

I have had my eye on the (then) new Flight Of the Butterfly stamp set since it first appeared in the Fall/Winter idea book. Though I knew I had to have this darling set in my collection, I decided to wait until spring to make the purchase since this is the season when these cute little creatures make their appearance. So, after my new friend in the big brown truck delivered my long awaited treasure, I had to immediately put this set to use.
Once again, the color combination comes from Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge (#43). The colors are: old olive, brocade blue, pumpkin pie, ruby red and chocolate chip. Aside from the brocade blue, these are colors that I use quite often. A few accents that may not be apparent from the picture are paper piercing on the bottom of the old olive paper, silver centers for the flowers and ruby red ink bordering the whisper white card stock. February Make & Take

I have crafted several cards this week in preparation for my Stamper's 10 group this Saturday. While I do like all of the cards, none of them were exactly what I wanted to use for the "make & take" demonstration. So, through inspiration from Kristina Werner (via her Color Inspiration Challenges...http://kwernerdesign.com/blog/), I decided to do a Valentine card using a stenciling technique. To create the hearts, I used the Heart To Heart punch to make a stencil. I placed the stencil over the white paper and rolled the Fast Flowers wheel over the entire thing. Before removing the stencil, I sponged some Riding Hood Red ink over the stencil. What do you think?

If I haven't mentioned it before, I LOVE Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenges (http://kwernerdesign.com/blog/)!!! I love color, but I do have to admit that I tend to find a color combination that I love and wear it out. This is why I wait in anticipation each week to discover what hues Kristina has put together to stretch our creative color palette. This week, the challenge colors are: more mustard, so saffron, taken with teal, old olive and whisper white. I had recently borrowed the Simply Said stamp set from a friend, and I've been waiting to use it until inspiration struck. Immediately when I saw this challenge, I knew I had to use this set! Just as a note in case you can't tell from the picture, the teal paper is crimped (my latest obsession), and the heart is popped up on a dimensional. This is a special card for my in-laws to thank them for all that they do. What do you think?

on Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenges (http://kwernerdesign.com/blog/)!!! Each week, I am filled with anticipation as I await her color choices. This week, they are basic black, real red, green galore, whisper white and so saffron. These are colors that naturally appeal to me, so I was very excited to get started. I chose this adorable little elephant from the A Happy Heart stamp set as the feature of this card. The black paper is crimped (don't know if it shows up well on the photo), and I had to add a few rub-ons, which are my new obsession. What do you think?

Oops! card

Have you ever made a card that happen totally by accident? When I started this project, I intended to make an accordian style flower for the card to use as the make and take for my monthly stampin' group. However, for an accordian flower, you have to make ALOT of score lines. I thought that I might use my paper crimper to achieve a similar effect, but I quickly realized that it wasn't going to work! Not wanting to waste this paper, and not wanting to let go of the flower idea, I decided to make a 3-D card instead and come up with something different for my group. While I'm not in love with this card, and it certainly won't fit into an envelope, I am keeping it as is because I am sure I will find an appropriate time to use it. And, there is something about it I do actually like, though I can't put my finger on just what that is. Maybe the thought will strike me at a later time...

They just shouted "Valentine's Day," so I created a card for my husband (early this year!). What do you think?

Wow! It has been exactly one month since my last post! I did quite a bit of crafting during the holiday season, but, unfortunately, that didn't leave much time for posting. However, with a renewed sense of dedication to blogging, I will be posting cards, projects and such several times a week. Really, this time!

Okay, now on to today's card. This is another one of Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenges (http://kwernerdesign.com/blog/), and I LOVE the color combination of this one. Though this is only the second challenge I have participated it, I quite often use her color palettes an inspiration for cards and projects (and, even when coordinating clothes sometimes!). The colors for this challenge are: old olive, baja breeze, chocolate chip, pumpkin pie and whisper white. I needed a birthday card for a little boy today, so I thought I would use the Bugs & Kisses stamp set in conjunction with the challenge. What do you think?

Wow! I did not realize quite how long it has been since my last post! Chalk it up to the holiday season, I suppose. Well, I am back with a card I have created for K. Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge. You can find out more about this weekly challenge at her blog: http://kwernerdesign.com/blog/ I have been following Kristina's blog for quite some time, and I've really been wanting to participate in a challenge. This week's color palette (pale plum, perfect plum, bordering blue, sage shadow and certainly celery) was just the right combination to motivate me to actually submit a card. I used the retiring stamp set Best Yet and added a bit of glitter to the center of the flower and the word Life to finish off the beautiful colors of this card. Thanks Kristina for the motivation!

Autumn Vine Flower

The idea for this flower was yet another great idea that appeared in my October Stampin' Success magazine. I have never found so many projects that I've wanted to try from one issue! I used the Autumn Vine designer series paper and a tag punch to create the petals for this flower, and three different circle punches for the center. The petals are attached to the card with adhesive, but the center is attached with a large dimensional. I used my new paper crimper to give the strip of Really Rust paper some texture, and stamped the "friendship" sentiment in Chocolate Chip on So Saffron to finish the card. This was the first card I created with the new Happy Blessings stamp set that is featured in the Holiday Mini. I immediately knew that this was a "must-have" set for me because I just can't resist all things fall! I am not usually a fan of having to color things in, but I really loved using the Earth Elements Stampin' Spots and blender pens to give this image a nice watercolor look. Halloween Friends

After using all of those punches for my friend, Mr. Turkey, I started to wonder if I could put together a quick Halloween card using a few punches. Once I realized that one of the small flowers in the three flower punch had eight petals, I thought it would be perfect to use it for a spider! I used my new paper crimper to crimp the orange paper before punching out the circle, then I used the smallest circle on my crop-a-dile to punch the eyes and mouth. This was a very quick card, and I am happy with how it turned out.

Festive Turkey

This month's Stampin' Success was filled with ideas that really appealed to me! I saw a different version of this turkey, and I immediately wanted to design my own card around this image. This cute Thanksgiving Day symbol was created using six different Stampin' Up punches: a scallop punch for the feathers, two circle punches, a double circle punch (for the eyes), the three flower punch (only one of the flower shapes was used for his feet), and a square punch (for the hat). Three quick folds turns one scallop punch into a set of feathers, and the rest comes together in a snap. I will definitely be duplicating this card for Thanksgiving Day blessings for coworkers.

Twisty Treat Pouches

I saw these "twisty treat pouches" in my monthly Stampin' Success magazine, a demonstrators only publication, and I just knew that I had to try them out! These are also known as "sour cream containers," as they resemble the packages of sour cream offered in fast food restaurants for baked potatoes. I chose to make mine with the new Autumn Vine paper featured in the Holiday Mini. (Originally, I had eight of them, all using different paper, but they vanished before I could take a picture of them all together.) You can fill them with anything you like, but mine are stuffed with lifesavers. This was a treat for my monthly Stamper's 10 girls.

Cards For Diaper Fold Pouch

These are the 3 x 3 cards that I designed to go inside the diaper fold pouch that I showed you yesterday. I used a variety of stamp sets, most notably the new Happy Blessings from the Holiday Mini. They, along with envelopes, will be placed in a clear bag, tied with a ribbon and put in the pouch. What do you think?

Diaper Fold Pouch

This large treat holder is made from a 12 x 12 piece of designer series paper (Autumn Vine from the new Holiday Mini), though a square piece of paper in any size will work. It is super fast and easy to make, and the pouch itself is made from only one piece of paper (no adhesive of any kind required). I chose to add the "Happy Harvest" sentiment to finish it off. I love this treat holder because you can customize the size to fit whatever treat you'd like to add...candy, cards, bookmarks, stickers....

Wish "In Color"

The sentiment on this card, the word "wish" followed by its definition, is part of the Define Your Life stamp set. I LOVE this set!!! There are 25 words with definitions that are great for both cards and scrap book pages. This is a newly acquired set for me, so I'm sure you'll be seeing much more of it in the future. No surprise on the colors again...this time the "In Colors" are Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss, and the Whisper White and craft paper are added to complete this color palette. Fall colors are coming soon...really!

Ginormous Welcome

I have owned the Ginormous Flowers stamp set for quite some time, but it is only recently that I am finding great joy in using it. I am loving the design of the flowers paired with the new "In Colors," and layering with punches gives a special added flair. The large flower is stamped on the white card stock in Pacific Point, then there is a layer of Kiwi Kiss punched from a large circle punch, and finally, the center of the flower is stamped in Riding Hood Red. I also used an oval punch to cut out a window for the "welcome," which is mounted on the inside of the card, to show through. What do you think?

Punches, Punches and More Punches!

This card was very quick to put together because punches make fast work! I used two circle punches and the scallop punch for the flower (plus a punch to make the holes in the scallop circle) and an oval punch for the word window. This is another "In Color" card, featuring Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze. The paper clip is hooked onto a dimensional dot, which is what the flower is attached with. Are you loving the "In Colors" yet?

Upsy Daisy "Thank You"

Can you believe that I used only ONE "In Color" on this card?!? That's right, the Kiwi Kiss is the only one that made it's way into this color palette. The daisies are stamped in Tempting Turquoise, and they are layered on the old "In Color" Blue Bayou, which is the color of the card itself, as well. I wasn't sure about this color combo as I was crafting the card, but once I was finished, I was really pleased with how it turned out! What do you think?

"Enjoy"ing the new "In Colors"

Okay, okay, I promise to show you something other than the new "In Colors" soon! (In fact, I've been working on a few fall/harvest cards over the weekend that incorporate the Earth Elements colors and two new stamp sets (one from the new Holiday Mini!). I will show you those later in the week.

This card highlights a great use for the new scallop square punch. The Pink Pirouette frame that boarders the Riding Hood Red "enjoy" is actually created by punching the scallop punch three consecutive times. It takes a bit of practice to learn how to line it up properly, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes fairly easy. I love the color combination of Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red and Baja Breeze! I added a pearl to the center of the flower, and, yes, that is glitter on the flower (because I couldn't resist). I also added a spiral paper clip for an accent, though I think next time I would have tied a pink ribbon on it, just to add a final touch. This was the Make & Take for September's Stamper's 10 meeting.

"In Color" Butterflies

Here we are again with the new "In Colors!" I truly can't believe that I wasn't crazy about these colors when I first saw them! (Though I do have to admit that I still miss the Purely Pomegranate and the Blue Bayou and the...well, all of them.) Nevertheless, I am having a great time with my new favorites. This card features Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, and a bit of Kiwi Kiss as the boarder of the butterfly images. The butterfly is from the Happy Heart Day stamp set (featured in last season's Holiday Mini). I used two sizes of square punches to punch out the butterfly images and the Kiwi Kiss boarder, and I used the new scallop punch to put a fun edge on the Pink Pirouette paper. I threw in a bit of Riding Hood Red designer series paper, and added a bit of sparkle to the butterfly wings to dress the card up a bit. What do you think?

A Simple "Thank You" Card

I wanted to create a very simple, clean "thank you" card featuring black and white with just a splash of color. I chose to use blue, and of course, this particular shade (Pacific Point) is one of the new "In Colors." The flower image is actually the bottom section of the large block stamp "Happiness," which I inked with Pacific Point. I used the new square scallop punch to frame the image to make it stand out and accented the layers with black ribbon. I wanted to add just a little something extra, so I used my paper piercing tool to make a row of dots in between layered paper and the sentiment. There is a small silver dot (made by a silver gel pen) on either side of the sentiment, the center of each flower is also accentuated with a silver sparkle. I think it took me longer to type this entry than it did to make the card! Sometimes easy is good!

"In Color" Sweet Treats

I thought that after a week of (very quick) hard work, the teachers at my church's new preschool could use a sweet treat on the first day of school. I used the new "In Color" card stock, designer series paper and ink to whip up these super easy boxes. The scallop punched circles are covering peppermint patties, and the box will fit three of them. If you'd like to learn how to make this, and other cute treat holders, keep an eye out for my upcoming "Party Favors" class.

New Decor Elements Unveiled!

For those of you already familiar with the new Decor Elements product line that Stampin' Up is offering, you may be excited to know that Phase 2 has just been released for demonstrator preorder! (For those who are hearing about Decor Elements for the first time, please visit http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/CategoryPage.aspx?categoryID=227 to see what the well deserved buzz is all about.) I am happy to report that the new phase is offering a wide variety of new color options and will coordinate with the following stamp sets: Bugs & Kisses, Nursery Necessities, Teacher's Pet, Just Sports, Always (the bird), Ginormous Flowers, Flight Of the Butterfly, Seeing Spots and Wonderful You. There are also really great Christmas elements, a few of which can stay up all year round. (I will be ordering the "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord" element for the dining room to put over some framed family photos...after the room is painted, of course.) Happiness...

This stamp is actually part of a larger block stamp (page 134 of the current catalog) that my mother-in-law had big plans for. We have had it since the spring, and it is just now seeing ink. This is a card that I designed for her to inspire her to explore the options that a large block stamp has to offer. Once again, the Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette are part of the new "In Colors." I know, I am a bit fixated on the "In Color" color combinations right now! There is also a bit of the Riding Hood Red Designer Series Paper (stripes this time!) behind the Happiness stamp. I used a circular paper clip, adorned with a bit of pink ribbon to add a bit of flair, and I used the new scallop punch on the Pink Pirouette layer.

By the way, I showed this new creation to my mother-in-law. The verdict? She loved it!

Just a little note...

Confession: The "Just a little note..." stamp is not Stampin' Up! (GASP!!) I know, I know, how could I? I really love it, though, and I have been wanting to use it as a flower stem for quite some time. In terms of stamps, this is quite a hodge podge cards, as the leaves, stem and flower are all from different stamps sets. (Yes, the other two sets I used are Stampin' Up.) The colors I used are again from the new "In Colors." This time I selected Tangerine Tango and Kiwi Kiss to be paired with Whisper White. The polka dot Kiwi Kiss paper is part of the Designer Series pack, which I of course LOVE! You will see more of the Designer Series Paper in different "In Colors" in future posts. So, what do you think?

How time flies...

when you are incredibly busy! As some of you know, I have recently started a new teaching position at our church's brand new preschool. I am teaching the pre-k class, and it has been quite a bit of work to prepare for not only a new school year, but a new preschool program. Now that the school year is underway, I have returned to my beloved stamps and to the world of blogging with a renewed fervor. I am committed to posting several times a week at least (with every day being my ultimate goal). I am truly so excited about the Fall/Winter Idea Book and all of the new products being offered. This is, beyond a doubt, my favorite collection yet. I love the stamp designs, the colors, the papers, accessories, the new Big Shot Die Cutting System (though I've yet to order it, I am in awe of all that it can do)...in short, I LOVE the new catalog!! I have already placed my preorder from the upcoming Holiday Mini, and I am in anticipation of it arriving on my doorstep on Monday by the time I am home from school. The next few months will bring many exciting promotions from Stampin' Up and several new classes and workshops from me. Please be checking back to this blog often for the latest sales, items I've created and workshop dates and times. Okay, now for today's card. I am in love with the new "In Colors" from Stampin' Up. I have to admit, when I first saw the new colors unveiled, I was very concerned about color combinations. But, to my delight, I have found many, many ways to use the "In Colors" together and with other color families. This card is made with Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White (with a bit of silver glitter pen added in for some pizazz). The dots around the flower are done with marker, and the holes lining the corners of the Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White are made with the paper piercing tool. I'd love to see a picture if you've worked with the new In Colors, and comments are welcome!

Gate Fold Cards

It seems as though I've been seeing gate fold cards everywhere lately, so I thought I would make that the focus of a set of cards I was crafting for a friend. There are a few different ways that you can "close" a gate fold card, two of which are pictured above. The first is using ribbon to tie the card, and the second is making a paper ring to slide over the card. In addition, you could attach a button to either side of the card and use string to make a figure eight around the buttons. This would work with large brads also. Or, you could stamp a large image, place it in the center of the card, only attaching it to on side. There are many, many options to explore with gate fold cards. I'd love to see pictures of what you create!

Dry Erase Picture Frames

Someone recently shared an interesting bit of information with me: Dry erase markers and cleaner work well on glass. I had no idea! So, that sparked a moment where practicality met with creativity. How many times have you frantically searched for a piece of paper to leave a quick note for a family member before hurrying out the door? Wouldn't it be great to have a stylish, decorative medium on which to leave those important, must-see notes? Enter the dry erase picture frame.
I bought this frame at Michael's for $3.49 (not on sale). It is a 5 x 7, though they had larger frames in the same style. A few minutes of crafting, and you have a permanent place to write those important notes. You can use either dry erase cleaner or regular glass cleaner to remove the writing. Another option is to remove the glass and replace it with transparency film (sold at most office supply stores). The frame can be left anywhere for your intended audience to see, or you can attach magnets to adhere it to the refrigerator.

Party Favor ~ Class Preview

I wanted to share a sneak peek of one of the cute party favors that we will be creating at the upcoming class on Friday, July 25th. Flower Pot Make and Take

Hi...sorry that I've been away for a while. I have been busy planning exciting new classes and workshops centered around the new Fall/Winter Idea Book. The events will soon be posted both here and on my Stampin' Up website soon. Also, I have added an additional date for the Party Favors class, which is July 25.

This card was the make and take for June's Stamper's 10 meeting. I am absolutely in love with this flower stamp (from Ginormous Flowers) and the coordinating flower punch. This combination really makes creating a card quick and easy.

I have a few more projects to share with you that I will be posting in the next week, and soon to come will be cards featuring the new In Colors from the Fall/Winter Idea Book.

Exciting Announcements From Stampin' Up

There are a few great announcements from Stampin' Up! that I am excited to share with you! First, the Fall/Winter Idea Book and Catalog will be available for purchase beginning on August 11th. I have seen a sneak peak of a few new stamp sets, and I think you will love what you see! Closer to that date, I will be hosting an open house so that you can get your own copy ($5) and enjoy a great make and take.

To make room for all of the dazzling new products, it is time to say good bye to some of our exisiting stamp sets. The retired list is now available for you to view at http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/amycrilley/promotions. You may purchase these sets until August 10th and then they are gone for good. The retired accessories list will be released on July 21, so be sure to check back for that.

Stampin' Up has also just announced to its demonstrators (yesterday!) that they are expanding their product base to include elements that will assist you with home decor. Please be on the lookout on July 1st for an email explaining the exciting details! I have seen the new line, and I think you will enjoy your new options!

Flowers Stationary Set

This is the stationary set that we created at Friday evening's class. The folder (top picture) will hold up to five note cards, five greeting cards and ten envelopes. The flowers are from the Ginormous Flowers set, and the swirl stamp on the front of the folder is from the Doodle This Set. Stationary Set

This is my first attempt at a stationary set. It is going to be a gift for a friend's birthday this week. I wanted to use my new Enjoy Every Moment stamp set and the Bali Breeze designer paper. It took some practice to figure out how to make a "folder" that was strong enough to hold five note cards, five greeting cards and ten envelopes, but I am happy with the end result. If you would like to make a similar gift, you could also add an altered pen, and altered over sized paper clip, a book mark or an altered notebook. More Carousel Notes Purses...

I was asked to make two Mini Photo Purses for a friend and thought I'd share them with you. Both are made with the Carousel Notes featured in the Occasions Mini (but only until May 31st!). For the first, I used Fall Flowers designer paper and the Fun and Fast Notes stamp set. For the second, I used patterned paper form a craft store (gasp!) and the Zoofari stamp set. Altered Clipboard

This is a clipboard that I altered for Troy's Kindermusik teacher. I thought that it may be difficult to use since there are so many pieces. However, I have been pleasantly surprised how easily "family" projects come together. What is great about this set is that it allows you to create stick figure "people" that are as unique as your real life subjects. Creating families, friends or even individual people make great birthday, anniversary and baby cards, pictures to be placed in either an altered frame or a plain frame, clipboards or just about any other altered project. Flip Flop Card

I have recently been inspired to vary the style of card I create by learning new techniques. This (as many of you may already know) is a flip flop card. Make and Take (May)

The theme for this month's challenge card for Stamper's 10 was "spring creatures." Any living thing that is associated with spring would have been a great subject for this month's card. After a few weeks of pondering what to do with my new "Bugs & Kisses" stamp set, I finally broke it in for the make and take, and I was determined to use it with the "Summer Picnic" paper from the Occasions Mini. What do you think?

Scrap Exchange

What a fun time we had at the Scrap Exchange workshop last week! The cards that were created by my guests have inspired me to get creative with my own scraps! The card pictured above was the make and take for the evening. I had just gotten an order containing my first pack of "In Color" card stock, and I was anxious to use the Groovy Guava and the Purely Pomegranite together. I have also noticed that I do not use black card stock very often, so I wanted to incorporate that as well as a challenge. Flower Pail

This was a very quick project that I put together for a hostess prize at my last class. The flowers were pre-cut (Die-Cut Blooms) and the centers were easily punched from designer paper (Summer Picnic) using the scallop punch and two circle punches. The tin was purchased at Target (in the dollar section!), and it was filled with individually wrapped lifesavers. Both the die-cuts and the paper are available in the Occasions Mini now through May 31st. Thanks for checking it out! Card Purses

I wanted to share with you two card purses that I have made recently. They are quite easy to make (with a template) and make a great "just because" gift for a friend. Card purses (with cards included) also are fun to do as a class! Celebrating My Crafty Stampers...

Isn't it always inspirational to be in the presence of other creative minds? This is why I love being a Stampin' Up demonstrator! Friday's "10 for $10" class was great fun, and I learned something new! On one of the cards pictured above, you will notice that the word "happiness" is underlined, while on the other it is not. One of my guests took what could have been a "mistake" and turned it into a helpful tip. When the word was stamped, there was a bit of extra Whisper White ink on the stamp, which transferred a few spots of ink on the bottom of the word. Since I did not have a marker to correct this, Paula used a blender pen and the Whisper White ink to underline the word completely, thereby saving the otherwise perfect card. Very resourceful, Paula!

March Make & Take

This was the make and take for our March Stamper's 10 meeting. It is a 3 in. x 3 in. card with a small pocket on the inside. The pocket is large enough to hold a small square of Ghiradelli chocolate or a tea bag. It is made with the Merci stamp set featured in the Sale-a-bration mini and the patterned paper is part of the Bali Breeze designer series. This quick project makes a great card, party favor or thank-you note. You could also make a few with tea bags inside to send to a few girlfriends to invite them for tea.

Matthew's St. Patrick's Day Present
